The Secret Is Out!
Well, we’re not so great a keeping a secret, I guess. Even though we planned to wait, we went ahead and shared the news an hour or two after we opened the envelope with the baby’s gender. The Big Guy just couldn’t wait. It looks like I’m going to be very outnumbered with another Little Man on the way!
Little Man has been hoping and praying for a sister, so he was a bit disappointed. He actually ran to his room crying! So like any good parents, we tried to get him to take a picture with the baby gender card. He threw the card and dove under his bed! Poor kid. He’s warming up to the idea, though, and even mentioned teaching the baby “how to be a dragon”.
I’ve really had to shift my thinking, because I thought for sure it was a girl. I had even pinned a few baby things that were girly pins. I’ll just have to use those ideas for a friend or family member I guess!
