    RVing – Colorado National Monument

Rim Rock Drive Colorado National Monument was our next big stop on our 5 day RVing trip, and it did not disappoint. In fact, even though we didn’t spend as much time there as Dinosaur, we enjoyed it even more. The lack of mosquitoes probably played a big part in that, but the views were absolutely breathtaking. Some call it the Grand Canyon of Colorado, and it definitely deserves that title. We chose to do the historic Rim Rock Drive. It’s an easy way to see all of the canyons and many of the main rock formations. Spectacular doesn’t do it justice; it was that and more. Detour in Grand…

RVing in Colorado – Dinosaur National Monument

Happy 4th of July! Or, well, it was when we went RVing to Dinosaur National Monument and Northwestern Colorado anyway. We left in the afternoon on July 3rd and made our way northwest for a 5 day road trip. This is part 1 of the trip: Dinosaur National Monument. St. Louis Creek Campground We stumbled on this campground while growing increasingly tired and ready to stop. We hadn’t driven far, but traffic slowed us down considerably. This campground is not far from Fraser, CO and is first come first served. We got the last spot and couldn’t have been more thankful! On The Road: Small Towns on the 4th of…

    Riding in the Colorado Mountains

Jeremy has always wanted to go camping and riding in the Colorado mountains for Father’s Day. So this year, we managed to pull off a trip. We went to a familiar spot not too far from Colorado Springs. Our parents camped with us and some friends came up for the day on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and perfect for dirt bike riding. We were thoroughly impressed with how our oldest took off on what had been his grandma’s motorcycle. He’s been riding a smaller motorcycle for several years, and he was definitely ready for a bigger bike. It just took a little bit of riding with Jeremy, and he…

    RVing in Colorado: Salida

Several months ago Jeremy discovered a full time RVing family’s YouTube channel. He watched their episodes night after night. I admit I thought it was pretty goofy and that he was nuts for watching them night after night…until I happened to watch an episode with him. Now we we’re both hooked! They inspired us to do more RVing in Colorado this summer, make more memories, and document them along the way. We took more pictures, more video, and more trips than we have before, and we’d like to share it all with you. We’ve had a blast making memories RVing in Colorado with our boys and hope they look back…
